Ladies, have you noticed how women can be so cruel and judgmental to one another? Have you ever wished you had the support of other women who see the value in building each other up instead of tearing each other down? If so then you are like most of the women in the world. Why is this the norm? Why do we compare ourselves to one another? These are some questions you can think about and try to answer in the most honest way. If I had to answer these questions I would say the most common reason why we do this is insecurity and fear. If you are experiencing either one of these emotions you tend to compare yourself to others constantly and you may even put other people down just to make yourself feel better. It is a horrible yet common way to cope with our own sadness and insecurities. Luckily there are many ways to overcome this, but the first step is realizing that it is a problem and it is unhealthy for yourself and others around you. Once you get to this point everything else seems to fall into place.
I would like for you to take a moment to think about what empowerment means to you? To me it means the process of becoming stronger and more confident; so when I say women empowerment it is more than just words to me. It is a way to help women become stronger and more confident in themselves! Many of you know this is why I started my blog in the first place; I wanted to create a safe space for women to support one another and show encouragement to each other while sharing their amazing stories. This past Saturday I had the privilege of attending a empowerment event called “Empowered Women, Empower Women.” It was hosted by the lovely Noor & Tracy (follow them on IG – @NoorSaiedg & @Theconstantnew ). This event was everything I ever hoped it could be. It was such an intimate setting with such beautiful, intelligent and vibrant women. I was amazed by the loving and caring spirits they all had. We spent time getting to know each other by sharing parts of our stories. We were also able to network and share our business pursuits and what some of our goals are. We talked through real life struggles and how we overcame them. I was so excited to be sitting in a room with women who see the importance of standing up and making a change in how women interact with each other. It was such a unique and beautiful event. I am so excited to share that Noor & Tracy will be holding this event monthly!! I can’t wait for the next event and I am so excited to see this grow into something phenomenal! I will be sharing any details I get on when the next event will be held on my Instagram @CreativelyLinked & ladies you should totally come! Anyone is welcome and I would love to see you there!
