Hello my beautiful readers, I hope your weekend has been full of great memories and blessings!

This week I will be writing about something a little different; while starting this blog I have noticed something that has really opened my eyes about how a lot of women view themselves. I feel that this is something that should be brought up and worked through. I have come in contact with a lot of great women and while speaking to them about being featured on the blog, they first are very excited and thankful that I would ask them to be featured. I have noticed that for some women the more I speak with them further they share their sense of concern and self doubt. I have gotten responses such as “I would love to be on your blog but I feel that I haven’t done enough in life to be featured.” Or that they feel that they aren’t a good example of what a women should be, & have no idea what they could even talk about. This makes me very sad that there are so many women that feel this way about themselves.
This is a major reason why I started this blog in the first place. I wanted to create a space where I can highlight women and help them see the beauty and importance in themselves. To create a time that they can look at themselves and see what talents and great things they have to offer. Every woman has a unique story and no one’s story is better than the others. Women often compare themselves to each other and think they are inferior because they may not be doing the same things. That is the beauty of it all! What one woman is doing another women is doing something just as amazing no matter how big or small it is. We can’t compare ourselves, we are all different and unique therefore comparison is not a logical or healthy thing to do. God made us all different; we look different, we act different and we all have different creative talents that He has placed in our hearts. I want to help women find their voice and their talent that may be hidden deep down in their hearts!
This blog will never be about comparison or who is doing more in their life; and I wanted to share what was on my heart as I have seen this first hand. I want everyone reading this to realize you are capable and worthy and so much more than you think you are! You are AMAZING!
I was so inspired by this I wrote a poem in my journal & I want to share with you:
Who told you, you weren’t good enough? Was it the reflection in the mirror?
Did that voice overcome your sense of reality & consume you?
Who told you, you weren’t smart enough? Was it the letter in red on that paper?
Who told you, you are beautiful?
Was it the man that is no good for you?
Queen, you are more than a look,
you are more than a reflection in the mirror!
You are more than a label on a piece of paper!
You are more than a conqueror!
You are more than beautiful!
YOU are YOU & I long to see your smile!
